A teenage Russian agent has been detained in the Chernihiv region for spying on the Ukrainian army. She operated under the guise of ordinary taxi rides, photographing and filming the positions of Ukrainian military forces.
Espionage Methods
The agent used taxi rides as a cover for gathering information. During her trips, she documented:
- the positions of Ukrainian soldiers;
- air defense facilities;
- other critical information that could be used for attacks.
Arrest and Trial
The arrest took place in November 2024 when she was caught while documenting one of the military facilities. The Security Service of Ukraine conducted an investigation, which led to her being found guilty of treason committed under martial law. The court sentenced her to 10 years in prison.
