On October 4, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the USA has proposed to hold a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, Russia, and the USA by the end of October. This initiative is already being discussed at the level of negotiation groups.
Meeting Format
Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian side is ready to support this format of negotiations. He emphasized that Ukraine is open to the possibility of holding the meeting in the United Arab Emirates or in another country suggested by the American side.
International Community's Reaction
At the same time, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for an urgent increase in support for Ukraine, particularly in the area of air defense. He mentioned that during his visit to Kyiv, he has already experienced three air alerts, highlighting the seriousness of the situation in the region.
