Tragedies and Support: Key Events of the Week in Ukraine (30.10 – 06.11.2026)

During the week from October 30 to November 6, 2026, Ukraine experienced several tragic events related to Russian attacks, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. At the same time, important steps were taken in the field of civil protection, reflecting support from international partners.

Tragedies from Russian Attacks

Unfortunately, the week began with a tragedy in the village of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region, where two rescuers were killed as a result of a Russian shelling. This attack is yet another confirmation of the dangers faced by Ukrainian rescuers while performing their duties.

Additionally, in Dnipro, two people died and 20 were injured due to an attack. In Sloviansk, a strike drone attacked rescuers while they were eliminating the consequences of a shelling, highlighting the risks that services face during their operations.

In Kharkiv Oblast, preliminary reports indicate that 62 people were injured as a result of a massive attack, underscoring the seriousness of the situation in the region. Meanwhile, in Vinnytsia Oblast, a Russian drone struck the territory of a vocational school dormitory, raising concerns among local residents.

Support and New Technologies for Rescuers

Despite the tragic events, Ukrainian rescuers are receiving support from international partners. Denmark has announced its continued support for Ukraine in the field of civil protection, which is an important step in strengthening the country's security system.

Furthermore, the drone units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received new equipment from the MK Foundation, including the Ukrainian ground robotic complex Termit 2.0. This reinforcement will allow rescuers to respond more effectively to emergencies.

Restoration of Aeromedical Evacuation

The Ukrainian government has also approved a procedure for the restoration of aeromedical evacuation of patients by air vehicles of the State Emergency Service. This decision aims to improve medical services and the speed of response to emergencies, which is particularly important in wartime conditions.

Rescuers have also undergone training in the operation of new engineering equipment, which will enhance their readiness to perform tasks in challenging conditions.
