On September 20, 2026, Ukraine experienced serious consequences from enemy attacks that resulted in the deaths of four people, including three children, in the Kyiv region. Simultaneously, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces launched a second attack on rescuers who were extinguishing a fire.
Tragedy in the Kyiv Region
According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Timur Tkachенко, as a result of enemy attacks in Kyiv region, four people have died:
- Three children;
- One woman.
For over a day, the region endured enemy attacks, resulting in damage to 31 objects across five districts. The most affected was the Fastiv district, where 24 objects were damaged, including:
- Residential buildings;
- Production and agricultural facilities;
- Land of an agricultural enterprise;
- 17 vehicles.
In the Vyshhorod district, four objects were damaged, including two private households, a business facility, and an educational institution. In the Obukhiv district, one private household was damaged, in Brovary district — a private household and a power line, and in the Bucha district — a warehouse.
Attack on Rescuers in Zaporizhzhia
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out a second drone strike on rescuers who were extinguishing a fire in a residential building caused by a previous shelling. Fortunately, the rescuers managed to take cover and were not harmed, but as a result of the attack, two fire and rescue vehicles were damaged, with:
- Shattered glass;
- Punctured tires;
- Damaged bodies.
The drone attack on the region continues, raising concerns among the population and rescue services.
