Main Areas of Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that part of the agreements pertains to the expansion of Finland's satellite capabilities. This is vital for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Specifically, agreements were reached with companies Nokia and ICEYE, which have experience in satellite technologies.

Financial Support and Material Supplies

According to the signed agreements, the financial support includes:

  • €200 million for cooperation in the field of drones;
  • €5 million for supporting Ukrainian energy;
  • €2 million for winter preparations;
  • the transfer of 10 locomotives to Ukraine to enhance railway infrastructure.

These measures are a response to ongoing attacks by Russia on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, particularly on energy facilities.

Importance of Cooperation

Zelensky emphasized that Finland's support is extremely important for Ukraine in wartime. In particular, the use of satellite technologies will improve logistics and ensure the resilience of the energy system. Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo also confirmed the country's readiness to support Ukraine in these critical areas.
