This year, Ukraine has built more new generating capacities, which is a crucial step in preparing for the winter season. This reduces dependence on external energy supplies and ensures stability in energy supply within the country.
Provision of Backup Power
Moreover, more critical facilities have received additional backup power. This includes:
- Provision of backup power sources for hospitals and social institutions.
- Improvement of the electricity supply system for important infrastructure facilities.
- Increase in the number of backup generators in the regions.
Infrastructure Protection
To enhance security, measures have also been implemented to protect critical elements of infrastructure in Ukraine. This includes:
- Increasing stocks of equipment and spare parts.
- Ensuring a greater number of repair crews and equipment for quick response to emergencies.
