On October 8, 2026, during a meeting with the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Presidential Office, President Volodymyr Zelensky received reports on the situation at the front and Ukraine's preparations for a new wave of Russian escalation.
Readiness for Escalation
According to the reports, Ukraine is actively preparing its responses to new threats from Russia. The head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad, noted that the country is working on strategic measures to ensure security.
Cooperation with International Partners
An important aspect of the preparation is cooperation with international partners. According to the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Pavlo Palisa, Ukraine is negotiating with partner countries to receive:
- additional air defense (PPO) packages;
- ammunition for F-16 aircraft.
President Zelensky expressed gratitude to every country willing to assist Ukraine during this challenging time.
Fulfillment of Frontline Requests
Additionally, the Ukrainian authorities continue to fulfill requests from the commanders of combat corps and brigades. These requests were expressed during the president's recent meetings with military personnel at the front.
