Today, the Ukrainian Cup in hand-to-hand combat brought together 127 athletes from 11 institutions, including military formations, law enforcement agencies, and rescue services. This tournament is significant not only in terms of sports but also as a means of enhancing the qualities of all those who stand guard over our country, our people, and our values.
It is particularly important that this year, for the first time, competitions are being held for veterans and soldiers who have been injured. This highlights that the Cup is not just a sporting event but a symbol of strength of character, the ability to rise and not give up, as well as the resilience and will of Ukrainians that help us live and fight.
