Last night, on September 27, 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) conducted a humanitarian operation, delivering about 4 tons of food to the residents of temporarily occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region.
Humanitarian Aid for Oleshky Residents
The aid was distributed to approximately 100 locations throughout the city, ensuring that as many people as possible could receive the essential food supplies. It is reported that around 2,000 Ukrainians, including nearly 50 children, remain in Oleshky, which has been under Russian occupation since 2022. These individuals face serious challenges, such as a lack of access to adequate food, water, and electricity.
Obstacles from Occupants
The occupiers actively attempt to obstruct humanitarian deliveries. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, they shoot down drones delivering food and also seize or resell humanitarian aid intended for children and the elderly. It is known that local residents can be detained for receiving aid, tortured, and thrown into basements.
