Attack on the Bashneft-UNPZ in Ufa
On September 21, Ukrainian troops struck the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery located in Ufa. This refinery is one of the largest in Russia, processing approximately 7.5 million tons of oil annually. Following the attack, a fire broke out on the premises, confirming the severity of the damage incurred.
Strike on the Kuybyshev Refinery in Samara
In the night of September 22, the Defense Forces of Ukraine targeted the Kuybyshev Refinery, part of the Samara oil refining hub of Rosneft. This facility is also one of the largest oil refineries in the region, with an annual processing capacity of around 7 million tons of oil. The Kuybyshev Refinery produces a wide range of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and other types of products used by the Russian army.
