As of October 2, 2026, Ukrainian grain exports have dropped to 46% due to port blockades, posing a significant challenge to the country's agricultural sector. Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky noted that export volumes have remained unchanged since September 20.
Export Details
According to Vysotsky's data, the export volumes of Ukrainian oilseeds account for 83% of the potentially necessary volume, totaling 444 thousand tons. Specifically, oil exports have reached 311 thousand tons, which is 64% of the required volume, and meal exports stand at 280 thousand tons, or 46%.
Impact of Port Blockades
The port blockades have significantly affected export capabilities. Vysotsky emphasized that the share of grain in the total export volume is lower, while the overall export share remains at 46%. This indicates that the situation is stable but at a low level, which does not meet market demands.
Future Forecasts
The minister stressed that it was anticipated that the export share could fluctuate within the range of 45–50%, and currently, this is the objective maximum within the existing pathways. Vysotsky pointed out that the situation requires urgent resolution to restore normal export volumes and support the agricultural sector.
