On October 27, 2026, due to infrastructure repairs following the shelling of the capital's metro and bridges in Kyiv, Ukrzaliznytsia announced the launch of additional Kyiv City Express services. This decision was made amid recovery efforts after the Russian attack, during which the Southern Bridge was damaged.
Additional Services During Rush Hour
During the evening rush hour on October 27, 10 additional trains will operate, crossing the Darniy and North Bridges. The first departures will be around 16:00. These trains will run in a semicircular route:
- Vydubychi
- Berestyanka
- Darnytsia
- Rusanivka
- Livoberezhna
- Mykilska Slobidka
- Voskresenka
- Raidozhny
- Pochayna
Future Plans
Starting from October 28, the number of additional trains will be increased to 16 per day, including morning services. This will reduce the interval between trains to about 15 minutes during peak hours, significantly improving transportation accessibility for the capital's residents.
