Today, October 9, 2026, the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) refuted the information about the stop of the green metro line due to power outages. According to official announcements, the movement on the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line is taking place according to a special schedule during morning and evening peak hours.
Special Metro Schedule
On the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line, due to restrictions on the Southern Bridge, a temporary special schedule is currently in effect. This means that:
- During morning and evening peak hours, only one metro train can operate at a time.
At other times, trains run as usual, allowing for comfortable passenger transportation.
Impact on Surface Transport
Despite the fact that metro services have not been halted, some surface public transport in Kyiv has undergone changes. Due to the lack of electricity, the movement has been temporarily suspended in the following areas:
- Obolon
- Podil
- Svatoshyn
The KCSA urged residents to trust only official announcements and to monitor the current information regarding transport operations.
