On September 20, Kyiv Zoo will host a watermelon weekend, during which the residents of the Island of Beasts and the Bear Continent will receive delicious treats. Seasonal goodies are an important part of the environmental enrichment program for the animals.
This Sunday, feeding demonstrations are scheduled on the Island of Beasts:
- 10:30 – gorilla Toni;
- 10:45 – lions Hercules, Christina, Viliya, and Darina;
- 11:00 – tigress Dalila;
- 11:20 – tigers Rena and Maluk;
- 11:30 – tigress Hekata.
On the Bear Continent, treats will be served:
- 12:30 – Tian Shan bear Chudo;
- 12:50 – Ussuri white-breasted bear Bob;
- 13:00 – brown bears Potap and Nastya;
- 13:20 – a large family of raccoons;
- 13:40 – Ussuri white-breasted bears Bebi and Beri.
In the Fruit Garden, near the Ferris wheel, at 14:00, the coatis Shnobi-shnobs, Chester, Venya, Fanya, and Filis will enjoy their treats.
It is important to note that during air raid alerts, the demonstrations are suspended, and they will resume after the all-clear signal is given. We urge visitors to remember their safety and to move to shelters during the alarm signal.
Entrance to the zoo will be open until 17:00, and visitors can stay until 18:30.
