U.S. President Donald Trump is not scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This was announced by the U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN, Mike Waltz.
Trump will arrive in New York on September 21, where he will participate in political events at Trump Tower on the same day. On September 22, he is set to deliver a speech at the General Assembly, addressing foreign policy issues and problems that require urgent resolution.
Following his speech, Trump will hold a series of bilateral meetings, including with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takai. Meetings with leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and a reception for General Assembly participants are also planned.
As of now, a meeting between Trump and Zelensky has not been confirmed, raising concerns in Ukrainian diplomatic circles.
