Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has not yet received an official invitation to the G20 summit, which will take place in Miami in December 2026. He mentioned that if U.S. President Donald Trump officially invites Ukraine, it will be supported.
Signals from the American Side
Zelensky noted that various sources have sent signals about Trump’s intention to invite the Ukrainian side to the summit. This could be an important step in the context of international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing war.
Invitation for Putin
Additionally, President Vladimir Putin of Russia has also been invited to the G20 summit, but the Kremlin has not yet confirmed his participation. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed doubts about whether Putin would attend the event.
