On October 23, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during a speech at the Hudson Institute that speed restrictions for the Starlink and Starshield systems remain in effect, complicating military operations.
Difficulties on the Front Lines Due to Restrictions
Zelensky noted that the speed of communication has still not been restored, which affects the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian military. He emphasized that these restrictions are partially related to the policy concerning Starlink and Starshield. The President also pointed out that despite successful operations on the front lines, the situation is complicated by ongoing attacks from Russian forces.
Delays in the Supply of Interceptors
In addition, Zelensky reported delays in the supply of interceptor missiles intended to protect Ukraine from Russian ballistic missiles. The President stated that:
- Deliveries of interceptor missiles, for which agreements had already been reached, have still not arrived.
- This creates serious problems as Russian attacks occur almost daily.
Zelensky urged international partners to expedite military assistance, stressing that the situation on the front lines requires urgent action.
