On November 7, 2026, during a selector meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the consequences of the Russian strike, during which 36 ballistic missiles were launched. Only four missiles were intercepted, highlighting the critical shortage of interceptors for the Patriot system.
Shortage of Interceptors and International Assistance
Zelensky noted that to overcome the interceptor shortage, Ukraine needs assistance, particularly from the United States. He emphasized the importance of accelerating the supply of these systems, especially ahead of the winter season and the activation of negotiations with international partners.
Russian Strikes and Their Strategic Goals
The president also pointed out that Russia uses strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure as a means of pressure on Ukraine's position and its allies. According to him, Russia perceives diplomacy as a subtype of aggression, which requires decisive action from the international community.
Damage to Energy Facilities and New Threats
Preliminary reports indicate that during the attack on one of the key energy facilities, remnants of North Korean KN-23 missiles were found, indicating the need for strengthening international sanctions against countries that support aggression. Zelensky instructed to prepare reserve transportation schemes in Kyiv, as currently such schemes practically do not exist.

- Damage to a key energy facility by KN-23 missiles.

Zelensky also mentioned that preparations are underway for meetings in the G7 format, where Ukraine will be represented, and new contributions from European partners to support programs are expected.
