Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his surprise regarding the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, stating that he did not believe such a development was possible. According to him, the US made a mistake by not implementing sanctions against Russia before the war began.
Zelensky's Comments
Zelensky emphasized that the refusal of the Joe Biden administration to impose sanctions at early stages allowed Russia to execute its aggressive plans. He believes that timely actions from the US could have significantly altered the course of events.
The Importance of International Support
The President of Ukraine also stressed the necessity of international support in the fight against aggression. He urged the global community to be more decisive in their actions to prevent similar situations in the future.
